Tennis wristbands
Wristbands have a single job: keep sweat from running down your arm and onto the racquet handle. They're a small accessory with an outsized impact in summer or humid conditions, where unmanaged sweat can cause overgrips to deteriorate fast and the racquet to slip in your hand mid-swing. The wristbands here come from Babolat, Wilson and Yonex — soft terry-towelling construction in a range of colours to match your kit.
How to choose
Most players wear two — one on each wrist — for symmetry and full sweat absorption. Match colour to your racquet line: Babolat blue for Pure Drive, Wilson red for Wilson racquets. For headbands, see our tennis headbands page.
Frequently asked questions
Do tennis wristbands actually work?
Yes — terry towelling absorbs significant sweat. In hot conditions they make a meaningful difference to grip security and comfort.
How often should I wash wristbands?
After every session. They absorb sweat and can develop odour quickly. Machine wash on cool, air dry.
Should I wear one or two wristbands?
Two is standard — one for the racquet hand, one for the off hand. Some players wear two on the racquet wrist for extra absorption.
Are tennis wristbands one-size?
Most are stretchy one-size designs that fit children through to adults. Junior-specific narrower bands are also available.
Can I wear tennis wristbands for other sports?
Absolutely — they work just as well for badminton, squash, gym work, and casual gym wear.
