Who is the Yonex Ezone designed for?

The Ezone suits a wide range of players from improving intermediates through to advanced tour-level competitors. The Ezone 100 (300g) is the most versatile and popular variant — equally at home with developing club players and seasoned competitors. Lighter 100L and 100SL frames suit smaller frames, while the heavier Ezone 98 and Tour cater to advanced players seeking more control or plough-through.

What is Yonex's Isometric head shape and why does it matter?

Isometric is Yonex's patented square-ish head geometry. It maintains main string length toward the edges of the frame (where standard oval racquets have shorter strings), creating a noticeably larger effective sweet spot. In practice, off-centre hits feel more solid and lose less power compared to traditional racquets — a meaningful advantage for both club players and professionals.

How does the Yonex Ezone compare to the Babolat Pure Drive?

Both are popular spin-and-power frames around 300g. The Ezone typically feels slightly more dampened and arm-friendly, with the larger Isometric sweet spot giving more forgiveness on off-centre hits. The Pure Drive is slightly crisper and more direct in response. Players with arm sensitivity often prefer the Ezone.

What's the difference between the Yonex Ezone and Yonex Vcore?

The Ezone is power-oriented with a more dampened feel — built for effortless depth and access to power. The Vcore is spin-oriented with a stiffer, more aggressive response — built for fast swings and heavy topspin. Stan Wawrinka uses the Vcore; Naomi Osaka uses the Ezone. Pick based on whether you want power and comfort (Ezone) or spin and aggression (Vcore).
