How to Choose a Tennis Racquet
Head size affects power and forgiveness — larger heads (100 sq in and above) suit beginners, while tighter heads reward control. Weight and balance change how the racquet feels through the swing: lighter, head-heavy frames make it easy to generate pace, while heavier, head-light frames offer stability and feel for stronger swingers. String pattern matters too — open patterns (16x19) help spin and power, while denser patterns (18x20) favour control.

Frequently Asked Questions
What tennis racquet should a beginner buy?
Beginners are best suited to a lightweight racquet with a larger head size (around 100–110 sq in). The extra forgiveness and easy power help you make clean contact and build confidence while you develop your technique.
What is the difference between adult and junior tennis racquets?
Junior racquets are shorter and lighter, sized by the player's age and height (from 19 inches up to 26 inches). A correctly sized junior frame protects developing technique and reduces injury risk — an adult racquet is generally suitable from around age 11–12.
Do new tennis racquets come strung?
Some racquets come pre-strung, while higher-end frames are often sold unstrung so you can choose your own string and tension. If your racquet is unstrung, add our stringing service and we will have it ready to play on arrival.
